Moldovan government to cover all compensations for natural disasters in agro sector

Chisinau, 01 March /MOLDPRES/ – Prime Minister Pavel Filip, in the beginning of the Government meeting today, re-drew the attention to the subject on Compensation for natural disasters in agriculture in 2016. Prime Minister said that the government would pay all compensation due in this situation, relying upon clear and honest assessment data, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
Currently, the preliminary lists were drawn up of those who had suffered from frosts in April 2016 and established the degree of affection. The next step lies in preparing a regulation specifying the conditions of partial compensation for damage caused by frost. In this respect, Pavel Filip pointed out that drafting of the lists was delayed due to numerous files submitted including by unfair entrepreneurs, seeking compensation, even if in recent years did not provide any information about annual crops produced or whose businesses did not pay state taxes.
"When we ask from state budget, it does not mean we should bring in front of the Government of those working illegally, those who do not pay wages and those who do not pay taxes to the state. We must be open to those who work honestly. There follows to be made an enormous work to select the files of those who deserve to receive compensation and pay the funds that are provided in the state budget for a long time already," the Prime Minister said.
Also, during the meeting of the Commission for Emergencies of the Republic of Moldova, which was held today at the Government, the Prime Minister decided to scrutiny of dossiers, including the qualification of the actions of report submission, in order to punish attempted scam. Referred to it, Pavel Filip proposed the list of beneficiaries to be made public and after approval of the Regulation for payment of compensations to be accelerated the procedure of providing these payments.
