Moldova, United Arab Emirates start negotiations on bilateral agreements

Chisinau, 06 March /MOLDPRES/ – Speaker Andrian Candu and Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign Minister Andrei Galbur had a meeting with Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, where it was discussed starting of negotiations on cooperation agreements between Moldova and UAE, the Foreign and European Integration Ministry’s information and media communication service has reported.
The visit took place on 05 March 2017 at the invitation of the UAE royal family.
The sides discussed the start of negotiations on economic cooperation agreements, avoidance of double taxation and embassies in Moldova and UAE. Also, it was discussed an investment package for Moldovan economy, including aviation, IT, agriculture, financial services etc.
During the meeting, the officials discussed the current state and prospects of development of bilateral cooperation between Moldova and the United Arab Emirates, reconfirming shared commitment to deepening political dialogue and boosting economic cooperation.
Also during the meeting, Moldovan officials announced the decision of Moldova on abolition of visa regime for citizens of UAE.
