Programme meant for Diaspora's children launched in Moldova

Chisinau, 24 March /MOLDPRES/ - A programme, DOR 2017, meant for children from Moldova’s Diaspora, was launched by the Diaspora Relations Bureau (BRD) today. The programme will be carried out for the fifth year in a row on 20-28 August, under the patronage of the Moldovan government.
According to the BRD press service, to participate in the programme, children aged between 12 and 17 years may register online on the webpage www.dor.md during 25 March – 25 May. The places will be filled as the registration is held. Also in 2017, persons who have not participated in this programme so far will have priority.
At the same time, children from Moldova will be admitted to DOR 2017 as well. The participation in the DOR programme is free of charge, with all spending covered from the state budget. The participants cover just the expenses for travel to/from Moldova.
The DOR programme is aimed at raising the awareness of the second generation of migrants about their cultural identity, as well as at creating emotional relations with the origin country. During seven days, participants will have possibility to know the language, traditions and history elements, by directly getting involved in interactive studying activities.
Over 300 children from 15 countries have participated in DOR till present.
