Chisinau, 27 March /MOLDPRES/ - The Democratic Party of Moldova (PDM) will assess the activity of ministers, MPs and directors of governmental agencies, which are part of or were appointed by the party. PDM leader Vlad Plahotniuc made the statement after a today's meeting of the party leadership.
Plahotniuc said that main topic of the meeting had been activity efficiency of the government and parliament members. Thus, it was decided to assess their work based on professional and sociological criteria.
“Who among our colleagues could not demonstrate efficacy in front of people, certainly will leave from office and will be replaced by another person who will meet the objectives. Management positions are not for business or for other things, but are to optimize institutions”, he said.
Also, Plahotniuc announced the creation and establishment of a code on integrity of party members. “A first draft of the code on political integrity will be proposed for debate at the next political council of PDM. Thus is discussed with colleagues outside the party, civil society and other experts. We need accurate integrity criteria in order to select appropriate people who will represent us in the state institutions”, he said.
Also, the leader noted that PDM would contract an international sociological company meant to assess citizens’ opinion on how to reform the country’s political establishment and voting system.
