Moldovan foreign minister receives Canadian ambassador

Chisinau, 27 March /MOLDPRES/ – Deputy Prime Minister Andrei Galbur, Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, received Ambassador of Canada to the Republic of Moldova, Kevin Hamilton today.
According to the Foreign and European Integration Ministry’s information and media communication service, the meeting was an exchange of views on how to advance the bilateral dialogue in various fields of common interest, increasing of the projects of assistance implemented by Canadian partners in Moldova, strengthening the legal framework and increased volume of trade-economic relations between Moldova and Canada.
Deputy Prime Minister Andrei Galbur stressed that authorities wanted citizens to feel the positive impact of the reforms, and in the context of targeting public administration, emphasis being placed on quality of services. In this context, the Canadian diplomat stressed the readiness of his country to provide support and expertise in that field.
Another aspect of the discussion was the need to improve business conditions in Moldova, in order to attract new foreign investments, including Canada. The sides agreed to explore possibilities to extend the work of Canadian companies present in Romania and Moldova.
During the meeting, the sides also welcomed the access of Moldovan wines on the Canadian market.
