Moldovan PM, Romanian president have phone conversation

Chisinau, 28 March /MOLDPRES/ – Prime Minister Pavel Filip kept a phone conversation with Romanian President Klaus Iohannis. The officials discussed the Moldovan – Romanian partnership and the possibilities of initiating bilateral cooperation in new fields of mutual interest, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
Pavel Filip said, during the dialogue, that the Moldovan government was concerned about the reforms needed to improve the citizens’ living conditions, ensuring the functioning of state institutions and economic development of Moldova. Additionally, the Prime Minister reiterated the firm determination to continue the European course of Moldova and continuing the commitments assumed towards development partners.
At his turn, Klaus Iohannis said that Romania would carry on supporting the implementation of measures on Moldova’s modernization, consolidation of democracy and the rule of law.
Also, the officials exchanged views on political situation in Moldova and Romania.
