Moldovan parliament speaker informs on setting up working group to adjust national legislation on media

Chisinau, 30 March /MOLDPRES/ – It will be formed a working group in April, on adjusting closer the national media legislation to European standards with priority to develop a new Audiovisual Code. The announcement was made by Speaker Andrian Candu, the parliament's communication and public relations department has reported.
According to the speaker, the drafting process of media legislation to modern standards is supported by the Council of Europe that will contribute to setting the modes and acting rules of this group. The working group will include broadcasters, public institutions in the field the Broadcasting Coordinating Council (CCA), Ministry of Informational Technologies and Communication (MTIC) and civil society representatives with experience in the audiovisual sector.
