Chisinau, 31 May /MOLDPRES/ - The national economy registered positive figures last years and we have planned a string of measures not only to maintain, but also to increase these indexes, Economics and Infrastructure Minister Chiril Gaburici has said in an interview given to the MOLDPRES News Agency.
“First of all, we want to attract investments, as they actually mean economy, automatically jobs. Respectively, jobs at home mean not only economic growth, but also united families, with both parents with children. I want very much that we achieve the goals set, so that our people do not have to leave their motherland and work hard abroad,” the minister said.
Chiril Gaburici referred also to the cut in taxes. “We have such ideas, we discuss at the ministry. The reduction of taxes deals more with the Finance Ministry; yet, yes, the lower the taxes are, the less chances the shadow economy and the more opportunities of development the real economy have. From the viewpoint of the economy, we understand this fact and we hope to have the understanding of the colleagues,” the official noted.
In another context, the present economics and infrastructure minister, former prime minister of Moldova stressed that the work in the Moldovan cabinet “is a quote big challenge.” “All the life long, I have enjoyed fighting and achieving results. Obviously, there were moments when I failed or did not fulfill what I was set to do, but this made me work more. Where I failed to win, I managed to learn,” Gaburici said.
More details and statements by the economics minister can be watched on a video recording placed on the MOLDPRES webpage.
