Objective zero of trilateral collaboration means reconnect region to Europe, says Moldova SP

Chisinau, 09 June /MOLDPRES/ – The objective zero of our trilateral collaboration is to reconnect the region to Europe, has said today Speaker of Parliament, Andrian Candu, at opening of second interparliamentary high level conference of Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine: Strengthening interparliamentary component of regional cooperation in security, throughout development of cooperation with EU and NATO, the parliament’s communication and public relations department has reported.
According to him, regional cooperation and collaboration on security dimension together with internal processes of democratic transformation are key to getting European perspective for three states. "We need structured cooperation of Moldova, Georgia and Ukraine, states facing common challenges, having common aspirations and status of EU – associated ones. Under these circumstances, there can be identified common solutions and shared best practices," said Andrian Candu. Especially, he spoke about cooperation of three countries and EU within trade, transport, energy and IT, which would generate new opportunities for joining single market and applying EU standards within region.
Andrian Candu also related to need for joint actions to promote interests and aspirations of three countries at international level. "In EU, different nations have learned to work together, ensure peace, stability and prosperity for all inhabitants by means of cooperation. We also need support from EU and USA," said SP.
Parliament Speaker, Andrian Candu, attends second Interparliamentary high – level Conference Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine: Strengthening interparliamentary component of regional and security cooperation, by developing cooperation with EU and NATO, which takes place in Kiev on 08 – 10 June 2018. It will be signed a document setting parliamentary Assembly of Moldova, Georgia and Ukraine at this meeting.
The first interparliamentary high – level conference of Moldova, Georgia and Ukraine took place on 02 March in Chisinau, where the three SPs pledged to unite efforts as to promote common policies of defence and security.
