Chisinau authorities approve action plan to protect people during hot weather

Chisinau, 11 June /MOLDPRES/- The Chisinau city hall has approved an action plan to protect the population during high air temperatures.

According to data provided by the municipal authorities, the plan comprised tasks assigned to the decision-makers within the local public administration authorities of Chisinau municipality, both of the structural subdivisions and of the municipal enterprises, Apa-Canal Chisinau enterprise and Spatii Verzi company.

In the period with hot air temperatures, the municipal subdivisions, jointly with the Chisinau Municipal Public Health Center and the Municipal Food Safety Directorate, will ensure: monitoring the conditions of keeping the products in the agri-food markets, observing the activity regime of the resting camps for children, sanitary condition of aquatic pools, beaches and drinking water from centralized sources, training staff in serving the people on the activity during heat period.

At the same time, during the warm season of the year, the municipal authorities will ensure the proper functioning of the artesian fountains in Chisinau, placing drinking water tanks in the public parks in the city, deploying the network of commercial units selling refreshments and ice cream, including in crowded places in the city and recreational areas, organizing the triage and primary care stations within the subdivisions of the public and private medical and sanitary institutions in Chisinau, functioning of agro-alimentary markets in heat conditions, stepping up the sanitation measures of the territory, informing citizens about the protection measures in the hot weather and applying fire prevention measures.

The action plan will be valid until September.
