Meeting of phytosanitary, veterinary experts takes place in Dniester's left bank city of Moldova

Chisinau, 28 January /MOLDPRES/ – At the headquarters of the OSCE Mission in Tiraspol, the first working meeting of the phytosanitary and veterinary experts in 2019 took place on Friday, 25 January, the office for reintegration policy’s information and media communication service has reported.
The discussions focused on the issue of importing in the Transnistrian region throughout the control customs posts located on the Moldovan – Ukrainian state border of seeds and seedlings, it being agreed that the dialogue should continue until there is identified a viable solution.
Subsequently, there were reexamined the issues related to the import of veterinary preparations and plant protection products into the region, it was reiterated and the necessity of uniformisation of the nomenclatures and registers of products.
It was also approached the subject of the registration of economic agents, being reminded that according to the provisions of point 21 of the Government Decision №960 of 07.11.2017, starting with 01 February 2019, the pharmaceutical products, raw material, products of use phytosanitary and fertilisers will only be imported into the region by economic agents registered with the Public Services Agency (ASP) of Moldova.
The next meeting will take place in Chisinau.
