Moldovan PM meets representatives of National Union of War Veterans

Chisinau, 18 December /MOLDPRES/- Prime Minister Ion Chicu discussed Wednesday with representatives of the National Union of War Veterans, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
Chicu said "We intend to make communication more efficient, so that the government's decisions meet the needs of war veterans. We will go step by step as far as possible, meanwhile we will take care to increase these opportunities.”
The Veterans Union representatives have listed a number of problems they face, in particular, regarding the social protection of veterans, expenses for medical needs, distribution of unique benefits and others. Veterans asked to examine the possibility to be exempted from customs duties and excise duties on imported means of transport.
The Prime Minister asked those present to prepare recommendations and decisions for solving the problems set by veterans.
In order to effectively manage the problems of veterans, a decision was made to resuscitate the National Council for the problems of war veterans, the leadership of which the veterans proposed to be taken over by Victor Gaiciuc, Minister of Defense.
