Chisinau, 25 June /MOLDPRES/- Every person who has got vaccinated against COVID-19 receives a Certificate of Vaccination. It is a document that is a medical record that the citizen was vaccinated against the new coronavirus.
According to Alexei Ceban, epidemiologist of the National Agency for Public Health (ANSP), who held a press conference today on vaccination and confirmatory documents, the certificate is official evidence that the person has been vaccinated and is part of from a system approved by Government decision and ensures a very high level of data protection. "Each vaccination certificate has a role, in addition to its medical purpose, being used, for example, to cross the border. Or, this fact would relieve the citizen of the need to perform the coronavirus identification test (PCR test), which is quite inconvenient and expensive ", said the epidemiologist.
In this context, the quoted source said "the state covers the expenses only for testing people who have specific symptoms of the disease or have been in contact with infected people". "We can't test for free anyone who wants to go to rest, for example," Ceban said. At the same time, the doctor specified that the vaccinated citizens are no longer in danger in a public transport or for the country where they leave, or, "all states, including the Republic of Moldova, are interested in protecting their citizens".
In other news, Alexei Ceban stressed that "the vaccination certificate has some facilities and in no case is it a passport, which could oblige a person to something or prohibit their mobility."
"The vaccination certificate offers several options that should not be neglected. That is why we urge citizens to get vaccinated because it is the safest form of protection and prevention of diseases, including coronavirus. Everything we have done so far - mask, disinfectant, social distance - has had a smaller impact on the spread of the virus, ensuring only a mitigation of the situation so that we do not have very serious conditions. Vaccination is the safest shield, "Ceban said.
The ANSP representative noted “the vaccination certificate is an electronic document, being generated in PDF format. All the data that are stored in the Electronic Register are highlighted in this Vaccination Certificate, which can be both printed and digitally identified ”.
In the country, the vaccination campaign started on 2 March. Over 91 thousand doses of COVID-19 vaccine were administered in the Republic of Moldova in the last week, which means 631,346 doses administered in total and an immunization rate of 11.7%. The Republic of Moldova received 1,096,790 doses of vaccine against COVID-19. For the administration of the vaccine, people can go to the family doctor or they can schedule the vaccination through the platform www.vaccinare.gov.md.
