Six pupils became winners of creative competition initiated by Moldovan parliament

Chisinau, 28 June /MOLDPRES/- Six pupils became winners of the creative contest -The activity of a deputy in 101 words, launched by the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova, on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the Legislature. The six young people will be invited to the first plenary session of the 11th Parliament, which is scheduled after the snap parliamentary elections on 11 July.
According to the parliament's press service, three young people were ranked first, who obtained an equal score. These are Bianca Plămădeală - 16 years old, pupil of the Republican Theoretical High School Aristotel from the capital, Felicia Zaharcu - 16 years old, pupil of the College of Light Industry from Bălți and Marina Cobâleanschi - 17 years old, pupil of the Theoretical High School Mihai Eminescu from Cimișlia.
The winners are invited to the first plenary session of the Parliament of the 11th Legislature, which will be scheduled after the snap parliamentary elections on 11 July. At the same time, they will be awarded a winner's certificate, a set of informative materials and symbolic gifts with the Parliament's logo.
The essay contest was organized in order to promote civic education among the young generation. The competition was open to young people aged between 16 and 18. According to the regulation, the mini-essays had to contain 101 words, through which the author could describe the parliamentary activity.
On 23 May 1991, according to the decision of the Supreme Soviet of the Moldovan Soviet Socialist Republic of the 12th legislature, established following the first democratic elections, the MSSR Republic of Moldova becomes the Republic of Moldova, and the Supreme Soviet becomes the first Parliament of the Republic of Moldova.
