Buses' park from Moldovan capital to be renewed

Chisinau, 28 June /MOLDPRES/ - The Chisinau Urban Park of Buses has received the first consignment of seven buses with distance covered, purchased by the Chisinau city hall to improve the public service of passengers’ carriage, especially to suburban settlements.   

The city hall today informed that these buses were part of a consignment of 58 transport units, bought based on a tender held in last spring. Eighteen out of the 58 transport units are of MAN and Volvo models and 40 – of VDL model.    

Fifty million lei was provided for in the municipal budget to this end.   

In the context, at an operative meeting of the municipal services, the Chisinau general mayor, Ion Ceban, said that he had discussed with mayors from suburbs, in order to provide municipal decision-makers with relevant information on the most problematic directions, which need to be covered with transport, as well as the number of needed transport units.  

Those seven buses will start moving on municipal routes, after the procedures of registration and technical verification are completed.
