Chisinau, 29 June /MOLDPRES/- Last week, 13 people called an ambulance after sunstroke, including two people were unconscious in the street. After first aid, six patients were taken to hospital.
According to the Emergency Medical Assistance Service, over the past few days, the ambulance doctors provided first aid to 5,971 people, out of which 2,491 patients, including 624 children, were transported to the hospital.
On weekend, 910 requests were registered due to neurological emergencies, of which 107 strokes. Cardiovascular emergencies were also in large numbers and accounted for 892 cases, including 16 patients diagnosed with acute coronary syndrome. Of the total number of 843 requests for respiratory emergencies, 420 were due to acute viral respiratory infections.
The state Hydrometeorological Service also announces hot temperatures for the next few days. In this context, doctors warn, especially the elderly, pregnant women, children and patients with cardiovascular and respiratory diseases, allergy sufferers to avoid sun exposure, to opt for open clothes, preferably made of natural cloth, to cover their heads and take care of hydration.
