Ballot papers for polling stations from abroad printed in Moldova

Chisinau, 30 June /MOLDPRES/ - The Poly-graphic Enterprise from Chisinau has printed 726,700 ballot papers, which will be sent to the polling stations due to be opened abroad.
At an extraordinary meeting of the Central Electoral Commission (CEC), the CEC head, Dorin Cimil, informed that the ballot papers for the polling stations from abroad had been already printed. ‘’The Chisinau Poly-graphic Enterprise said that 726,700 ballot papers, meant for the polling stations due to be opened abroad, had been printed and packed,’’ Cimil noted.
The official also said that he had received information from the Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry (MAIEIE), according to which this institution started the preparation of diplomatic suitcases, by which the ballot papers, as well as the financial means needed for the remuneration of the staff of the polling stations set up abroad, will be sent.
The CEC head specified that those more than 3.5 million ballot papers, due to be used at the 11 July snap parliamentary elections, would be delivered to the Commission on 8 July.
At the meeting, the CEC members took note also of other information unveiled by the central and local public administration authorities on the ensuring of the holding of the forthcoming parliamentary elections in good conditions.
Twenty three electoral contenders, of which 20 political parties, 2 electoral blocs and one independent candidate, will participate in the snap parliamentary elections.
