Modifications made to Chisinau-Straseni-Calarasi aqueduct

Chisinau, 1 July /MOLDPRES/- Representatives of the project implementation unit Improving water infrastructure in Central Moldova and the design consultant met yesterday at the Regional Development Agency (ADR) Center to coordinate some changes that have occurred in the program.

The main topics discussed referred to the coordination of the proposed route for the Chisinau-Straseni-Calarasi highway, following the technical conditions issued by the State Enterprise Moldovan Railway. "The specialists analyzed in detail the sectors affected by the new water infrastructure and proposed the most feasible design options", according to ADR Center.

The project Improving water infrastructure in Central Moldova is financially supported by the German Federal Government through the German Bank Kreditanstalt für Wiederaufbau (KfW), while the ADR Center is its implementing institution.

The total cost of the expected investments is about 27.65 million euros, of which 25 million euros is the grant provided by the German Government, and 2.65 million euros is the contribution guaranteed by the National Regional Development Fund.
