Moldova to get 24.8 million euros for vaccination of people

Chisinau, 1 July /MOLDPRES/- Presidential decree on approval of signing Financing Agreement between the Republic of Moldova and the International Development Association on the Project Emergency Response to COVID-19 - Additional Financing was published in today's issue of the Official Journal.

Under the document, assistance worth 24.8 million euros will be provided for the implementation of the COVID-19 vaccination process at the national level, by financing the following measures: the purchase of COVID-19 vaccines; strengthening the infrastructure associated with vaccine administration, immunization systems (cold chain facilities, waste management infrastructure, remote temperature monitoring, vehicles and logistics infrastructure); strengthening the institutional framework to enable safe and effective vaccination.

The implementing entity of the project is the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection, through the Special Unit created for this purpose, and the implementation deadline is until 30 April 2023.

The decree enters into force on the date of publication.
