Moldovan writer commemorated 95 years after birth

Chisinau, 8 July /MOLDPRES/- The National Museum of Literature Mihail Kogălniceanu, in partnership with the Writers' Union of Moldova, the Institute for Cultural and Educational Initiatives, Arc Publishing House and Prut International Publishing House, organized a new edition of Literary Wednesdays last night, with the title Vasile Vasilache, 95th anniversary.
The writer's commemoration included the opening of the exhibition of arts and the book launch.
Writers Vladimir Beșleagă, Alexandru Burlacu, Leo Butnaru, Mihai Cimpoi, Emilian Galaicu-Păun, Ion Hadârcă, Eugen Lungu, Vasile Malanețchi, Igor Nagacevschi, Arcadie Suceveanu, Victor Vasilache, etc. spoke about the creation of the homage. The discussion was moderated by the general director of the Mihai Kogălniceanu National Museum of Literature, the literary critic Maria Șleahtițchi.
The exhibition will be open until 6 August.
In 1994 he was awarded the National Prize and in 1996 - the Order of the Republic.
Vasile Vasilache died on July 7, 2008, in Chisinau. He was buried in the Central Cemetery in the capital.
