Romania to donate 100,000 doses of Pfizer BioNTech vaccine to Moldova

Chisinau, 8 July /MOLDPRES/- Romanian government adopted at today's meeting a decision on donation of over 100,000 doses of COVID vaccine to Moldova and over 10,000 to Georgia. Prime Minister of Romania Florin Cîţu made the statement.
Humanitarian aid for Moldova consists in granting 100,620 doses of Pfizer BioNTech vaccine against COVID-19, out of the number of doses purchased by the Ministry of Health. For Georgia - granting 10,000 doses of vaccine against COVID-19 from the number of doses purchased by the Ministry of Health and delivered by the company AstraZeneca ", said Cîțu.
He said that the vaccine transport will be provided by the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Bucharest, through the Department for Emergency Situations, or by the Ministry of National Defense.
Romania has donated over 400,000 doses of COVID vaccine to the Republic of Moldova so far.
