Chisinau, 8 July /MOLDPRES/ - I thank the Romanian authorities for the fact that, each time, they answered quickly and through concrete actions, the requests to help Moldova. President Maia Sandu has made statements to this effect after a decision by the Bucharest cabinet to donate 100,620 doses of Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine to Moldova.
„Good news has come from Bucharest: following a discussion I had with Prime Minister Florin Catu several weeks ago, the government of Romania ruled to donate a consignment of vaccine against Covid-19 to Moldova. The donation announced today has 100,620 doses of Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine,’’ Sandu said.
Thus, the overall quantity provided by Romania to Moldova in the last months exceeds 500,000 doses.
„Presently, we have vaccine for everybody and I once again urge all citizens to be vaccinated – we will be able to avoid the forcible return of the pandemic only in this way,’’ the head of state said.
Starting from 2 March till present, 763,927 doses of anti-COVID vaccine have been administered in Moldova.
