Netherlands to continue backing Moldova in implementing domestic agenda, at European level

Chisinau, 8 July /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu had a phone conversation with Prime Minister of the Netherlands Mark Rutte today. The head of state thanked for Moldova’s maintenance in the group of countries beneficiaries of the Dutch assistance for development, the presidential press service has reported.
„O voiced hope that we will be backed in continuation in the process of the state’s transformation. I noted, in particular, the assistance provided by the Dutch partners to enhance and strengthen the capacities of the local public authorities from Moldova, as well as numerous projects on supporting the independent media. We also discussed the cooperation for backing small- and medium-sized enterprises,’’ Maia Sandu said.
For his part, Prime Minister Mark Rutte gave assurances that the Kingdom of the Netherlands would support Moldova in the process of domestic transformations, as well as in the carrying out of the country’s agenda at the European level. ‘’In the context, I invited Mr. Rutte to visit Moldova, when his agenda allows him to do this,’’ President Maia Sandu added.
