As many as 85 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 8 July /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 4,545 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 85 new cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed, of which seven import ones. As many as 257,272 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to data by the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS), none of all cases registered is among medical employees.

As many as 223 patients confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized in all, of whom 57 are in extremely serious condition (ten patients are connected to assisted breathing apparatus).

In the context, 557 persons are treated at home with light and moderate forms of coronavirus and 17,296 are under supervision at home.

Another 92 people have been treated. As many as 250,220 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MSMPS informs about the registration of two deaths triggered by COVID-19 and 6,205 people have died of coronavirus in all.
