Fruit Day exhibition organized in Criuleni district

Chisinau, 9 July /MOLDPRES/- Dozens of farmers, managers and specialists of fruit companies in the country participate today in the third Exhibition of technology and innovations -Fruit Day, in Coșernița, Criuleni district, in a modern orchard.

The exhibition, organized by the Moldova Fruct Association, is a platform in the horticultural sector, where intelligent and efficient solutions to protection of orchards against diseases and pests are presented; equipment and innovations for mechanized work including the harvesting process; modern irrigation and water treatment systems; modern solutions for post-harvest storage and handling of fruits; packaging and fruit certification systems.

“The exhibition is meant for entrepreneurs from Moldova, who must understand that new technologies and varieties are very important to be competitive on the market. We will discuss how important it is to increase the degree of endowment with modern technologies, with varieties, as there will be nurseries from all over the country ", said Iurie Fală, the executive director of the Moldova Fruct Association.

Stands were organized for the guests of the event, with a program of practical demonstrations, as well as seminars on the process of fruit production and storage.

A super-intensive orchard-model was planted in Coșernița and the largest refrigerator for storing fruits was built in the locality.

The Association represents 180 modern enterprises operating in the agricultural field: producers, processors, fruit exporters, as well as service providers. An essential objective of the organization is to diversify the markets for high quality fruits in Moldova: apples, plums, cherries, apricots, table grapes, processed products.
