As many as 71 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 9 July /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 5,295 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 71 new cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed, of which four import ones. As many as 257,343 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to data by the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS), none of all cases registered is among medical employees.

As many as 224 patients confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized in all, of whom 56 are in extremely serious condition (11 patients are connected to assisted breathing apparatus).

In the context, 552 persons are treated at home with light and moderate forms of coronavirus and 17,551 are under supervision at home.

Another 87 people have been treated. As many as 250,307 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MSMPS informs about the registration of two deaths triggered by COVID-19 and 6,207 people have died of coronavirus in all.
