Today - day of silence, ahead of Sunday's parliamentary elections

Chisinau, 10 July /MOLDPRES/- Today is the day of silence in the Republic of Moldova, before the snap parliamentary elections on 11 July. According to the Electoral Code, electoral agitation is strictly forbidden today and tomorrow.

The Central Electoral Commission warns that during these two days it is not allowed to carry out / reflect activities / materials with an electoral tone, nor the appearance of candidates in elections for television or radio shows.

Also, the candidates cannot make transfers to and from the account with the mention Electoral fund.

The continuation of the electoral agitation by the media, electoral contestants and citizens constitutes an administrative contravention and is sanctioned with a fine from 750 to 1,500 lei, applied to private people or with a fine from 1,750 to 2,500 lei, applied to offiicial person or candidate.
