Chisinau, 10 July /MOLDPRES/- President Maia Sandu met yesterday with several teams of international observers who came to Chisinau to monitor the snap parliamentary elections on 11 July. These are observers delegated by the International Organization of La Francophonie (OIF), the European Network of Election Monitoring Organizations (ENEMO), the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, as well as a group of MEPs, the presidential press service has reported.
"We welcomed their presence at the July 11 election and discussed the risks and issues that marked this campaign. Among the most important are the illegal financing of electoral contestants, the risk of buying votes and false news. I expressed my hope that on Sunday the electoral process will take place in the most correct way possible, our goal being to ensure the citizens the chance to freely and knowingly choose their government to represent them in the next four years ", said President Maia Sandu.
The head of state urged the citizens to go to the polls on Sunday, July 11.
