All polling stations in Moldova opened at 7.00

Chisinau, 11 July /MOLDPRES/- All polling stations in the country opened at 7.00. Abroad, the voting process has begun in most states. Central Electoral Commission head Dorin Cimil made the statement today.
For today's election 2,150 polling stations were set up, of which 150 abroad, and 41 polling stations in the localities on the left bank of the Dniester. 3,282,288 Moldovan citizens with the right to vote are expected at the polls.
In the polling stations on the territory of the country, the citizens can exercise their right to vote with the identity card and the accompanying card, which confirms the domicile or residence on the territory of the polling station. It is also possible to vote with the provisional identity card and with the service card, and the military on time - with the military booklet. Abroad, Moldovans will be able to vote with their passport, including an expired passport, ID card or seaman's passbook. Today's election will be monitored by more than 1,800 national and 600 international observers, accredited by the Central Electoral Commission.
Today, given the COVID-19 pandemic, citizens are asked to enter the polling booths with protective masks and take their own pen to sign the lists.
