Acting PM votes for smart Moldova

Chisinau, 11 July /MOLDPRES/- Acting Prime Minister Aureliu Ciocoi participated today in snap parliamentary elections. The official voted "for a smart and modern Moldova".

"I voted for a smart, developed and modern Moldova with a high-performing educational system," he said.

According to the official, a well-equipped education system is particularly important, because "the human factor is practically the only capital we have left."

"We need a good education to raise well-educated and prepared generations for the challenges of life. We need a smart Moldova, with a developed economy and a judicial system broken by personal interests, without which it will be very difficult to start the engine of performance and reforms ", he said.

In another context, Ciocoi said the finance ministry had found the money needed to pay the salaries of staff involved in snap parliamentary elections. Only the decision to allocate 22.4 million lei to the Central Electoral Commission will be approved by the Government.

Today, Moldovan citizens elect the new Legislature of the country. The election is attended by 23 electoral contestants - 20 parties, two electoral blocs and an independent candidate.
