I voted for our people abroad - leader of Development, Consolidation Party says

Chisinau, 11 July /MOLDPRES/- Leader of the Party for the Development and Consolidation of Moldova Ion Chicu came to polling station today at 10.00, accompanied by his wife and little girl. He said he had voted for present and better future.
"I voted for our country, for the people who work here from dawn to night, for our people who have gone abroad, who are heartbroken, but their souls are here. I voted that after July 11, people in the country who work can receive salaries, pensions. The resources are exhausted, I voted for people in the state bodies to be able to work, I know where to bring money, how to do it. We voted for the development and consolidation of our country ", he said.
The former prime minister urged citizens to be active and vote.
Today, Moldovan citizens elect the new composition of the country's Legislature, in the early parliamentary elections. The election is attended by 23 electoral contestants - 20 political parties, two electoral blocs and an independent candidate.
To validate the elections, the presence of at least one third of the voters registered in the electoral lists is required at the polls.
