Leaders of lectoral bloc of Communists, Socialists exercised right to vote

Chisinau, 11 July /MOLDPRES/- Leaders of the electoral bloc of the Communists and Socialists exercised their right to vote in snap parliamentary elections today. Vladimir Voronin was the first to go to the polls, and around 11.00, Igor Dodon appeared at the polling station, accompanied by his eldest son who voted for the first time.
Upon leaving the polling station, Vladimir Voronin told reporters that he wanted a prosperous country. "I still want to be in line with all civilized states," Voronin said. He said the new legislature should be responsible. "Maybe we will have a Parliament that thinks about the citizens", Voronin said.
The leader of the Socialists came to the polls accompanied by his family and specified that he gave his vote for a team that will take care of Moldova. "Today is an important day and not just because we are choosing the future Parliament. We need to choose a responsible government that thinks about the country. I urge the citizens to go to the polls, "said Dodon.
23 electoral contestants - 20 political parties, two electoral blocs and an independent candidate participate in elections. To validate the elections, the presence of at least one third of the voters registered in the electoral lists is required at the polls.
