Chisinau, 11 July /MOLDPRES/ - All polling stations from Moldova closed at 21:00. Subsequently, the polling stations from abroad will be closed too.
According to data by the Central Electoral Commission (CEC), 1,465, 543 people went to vote till 21:00, which accounts for 48.2 per cent of the citizens with right to vote.
The electoral process continues at the polling stations from abroad. Most voters were women, about 54.3 per cent, and the most active citizens were with ages between 56 and 70 years.
Only 7.3 per cent of the young people under 25 years of age took part in the voting.
The data shows a lower voter turnout than at the ballot from 2019, when 1,445,670 people voted and the participation rate stood at 49.07 per cent.
