Municipal Public Health Commission to decide on degree of health alert in Chisinau

Chisinau, 12 July /MOLDPRES/- Extraordinary Public Health Commission of Chisinau will meet this week to determine the incidence of COVID-19 and make decisions on the degree of health alert in the capital.

Mayor Ion Ceban asked at today's online meeting of the municipal services to convene a meeting of the commission to set the degree of incidence of COVID-19 and to reduce, or not, the measures to prevent coronavirus infection. "I request that this meeting be convened this week to see whether or not we reduce the preventive measures against COVID-19. It is a total uncertainty in this sense, we must have a clarity ", he said.

At the same time, the interim head of the General Directorate of Social Assistance and Health, Boris Galca, said that in Chisinau there are only 56 cases of mild forms of coronavirus that are treated at home, and 39 new outbreaks have appeared.

Currently, yellow code of public health is established in the municipality.
