All official reports received from polling stations opened for snap parliamentary elections processed in Moldova

Chisinau, 12 July /MOLDPRES/ - All 2,150 official reports from the polling stations opened for the 11 July ballot have been processed so far. Thus, the Action and Solidarity Party (PAS) picked up 52.80 per cent of the votes; the Bloc of Communists and Socialists grabbed 27.17 per cent of the suffrages and the Shor Party got 5.74 per cent.
As many as 1.47 million voters participated in the last Sunday elections. The voter turnout was of about 48 per cent. Over 205,000 voters cast their ballots at the polling stations from abroad. About 30,000 electors voted at the 41 polling stations set up for the citizens with right to vote from the settlements on the left bank of Dniester.
Data by the Central Electoral Commission (CEC) shows that 7.36 per cent of the electors who voted on 11 July had ages between 18 and 25 years; 23.70 per cent – between 26 and 40 years, 24.70 per cent – between 41 and 55 years and the elderly people who voted were the most numerous – over 33 per cent.
According to preliminary information provided by CEC, the results got by the electoral contenders are as follows:

Electoral Bloc RENATO USATII – 4.1 per cent;
Political Party Shor – 5.75 per cent;
Political Party Action and Solidarity Party – 52.80 per cent;
Electoral Bloc of Communists and Socialists – 27.17 per cent;
Movement of Professionals Speranţa - Надежда (Hope) – 0.19 per cent;
Democratic Party of Moldova – 1.81 per cent;
Political Party Dignity and Truth Platform – 2.33 per cent;
Political Party National Unity Party – 0.45 per cent;
Political Party Home Democracy – 1.45 per cent;
Political Party NOI (WE) – 0.1 per cent;
Party of Moldova’s Development and Consolidation Political Party – 0.43 per cent;
Political Party ALLIANCE FOR UNION OF ROMANIANS – 0.49 per cent;
Ecologist Green Party Political Party – 0.08 per cent;
Party of Law and Justice Political Party – 0.1 per cent;
Political Party People’s Power – 0.11 per cent;
Regions’ Party of Moldova – 0.09 per cent;
Party Moldova’s Patriots – 0.06 per cent;
PARTY OF CHANGE Political Party – 0.17 per cent;
Party NEW HISTORICAL OPTION – 0.01 per cent;
Political Party Working People’s Party – 0.1 per cent;
Veaceslav Valico (independent candidate) – 0.17 per cent.
