Two football teams of Moldova qualify for second round of Europa Conference League

Chisinau, 16 July /MOLDPRES/ - The Milsami Orhei and Petrocub Hancesti football teams have qualified for the second preliminary round of the Europa Conference League football competition.

The Moldovan Football Federation (FMF) said that the Milsami team had defeated the champion of Bosnia & Herzegovina, FK Sarajevo, with 1:0 on in an away match in Sarajevo on 15 July. In the next stage of the competition, Milsami will play with Elfsborg team from Sweden. The first match will take place in Sweden on 22 July and the return match – in Moldova on 29 July.

At the same time, also on 15 July evening, Petrocub Hancesti defeated the champion of the North Macedonia, Sileks Kratovo, with 1:0 on the Zimbru stadium from Chisinau. The earlier match played in Skopje ended with a tie 1:1. Thus, with the general score 2:1, Petrocub Hancesti qualified for the second preliminary round of Europa Conference League. At this stage of the competition, the team from Hancesti will play against Sivasspor from Turkey. The first match will take place in Moldova on 22 July and the return one – in Turkey on 29 July.
