As many as 61 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 17 July /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 5,441 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 61 new cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed, of which three import ones. As many as 257,903 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to data by the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS), one of all new cases registered today is among medical employees (one medical assistant).

As many as 257 patients confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized in all, of whom 58 are in extremely serious condition (11 patients are connected to assisted breathing apparatus).

In the context, 543 persons are treated at home with light and moderate forms of coronavirus and 19,628 are under supervision at home.

Another 63 people have been treated. As many as 250,861 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MSMPS informs about the registration of another two deaths triggered by COVID-19 and 6,224 people have died of coronavirus in all.
