Chisinau, 19 July /MOLDPRES/ - The Chisinau city hall will impose fines against all the owners on whose lands ambrosia grows.
At a today’s online meeting of the city hall’s services, the Chisinau general mayor, Ion Ceban, demanded imposing of fines against people on whose lands ambrosia grows. ‘’It is inadmissible for ambrosia to grow on lands managed by schools. I demand that the law-enforcement institutions impose sanctions to all private people or legal entities, on whose lands ambrosia grows. Maybe in this way, people will be aware that this plant poses a real danger to allergic people,’’ the mayor said.
Ceban asked the administration of the municipal enterprise, Association of Management of Green Areas, to discuss the subject of destroying the ambrosia fields also with the mayors from the capital’s suburbs – settlements where there are fields on which ambrosia grows.
The director of the Association of Management of Green Areas, Serghei Carp, noted that ambrosia was destroyed with herbicides in the capital. About 1.6 hectares on the territory of the city were processed to this end.
