Chisinau, 20 July /MOLDPRES/ - The municipal council of Comrat (administrative centre of the south Moldova Autonomous Territorial Unit Gagauz-Yeri) has approved the general urban plan of the settlement. The document shows where residential houses, commercial institutions, green areas, etc. can be placed.
According to Comrat mayor, Serghei Anastasov, it is about a general urban plan and a regional one will be worked out separately. ‘’If necessary, the municipal council has right to intervene with amendments to the document,’’ Anastasov said, cited by www.gagauzinfo.md.
The mayor noted that, for the time being, the city hall did not issue authorizations for constructions as, ‘’in the lack of a general urban plan of the city, the constructions are banned.’’
“If we want the city to develop and to be constructed, the need of such a plan is obvious,’’ Anastasov added.
Till the general urban plan is approved by the Comrat municipal council, it was subjected to public discussions.
