Moldovan writer launches poems book

Chisinau, 21 July /MOLDPRES/ - A volume of love poems titled, Cer de sineală (Sky of Blue), was launched by poetess Emilia Plugaru at the B.P. Hasdeu Municipal Library from Chisinau today.
The volume is the third book of poetry for adults of Emilia Plugaru, after the other two ones, which appeared in 2019 and 2020, respectively. The new volume comprises the love poems written in the last 10-15 years.
During the COVIDS-19 pandemic, the writer also finished a novel, which is under publication and is to appear soon.
Emilia Plugaru was born in the Cetireni village, western Ungheni district, on 17 June 1951. In 1972, she graduated from the Chisinau-based Poly-technical Institute. She debuted with poems for children and drawings to be coloured in 1996.
In 2018, Emilia Plugaru published a book of poems for children, for which she got the prize of the Ion Creanga National Library for Children at the International Book Salon for Children and Youth from Moldova. She has been member of the Moldovan Writers’ Union since February 2020.
