Military parade to take place on Chisinau-based Great National Assembly Square on 27 August

Chisinau, 23 July /MOLDPRES/ - The decree signed by President Maia Sandu on the holding of a military parade on the occasion of celebrating the 30th anniversary of the proclamation of Moldova’s Independence has been published in the Official Journal (Monitorul Oficial) and entered into force.

Under the document, according to the Government Decision No 102/2021 on the national schedule of actions dedicated to the celebration of the 30th anniversary of the proclamation of Moldova’s Independence, Moldova-30, a military parade will be carried out on the Great National Assembly Square on 27 August 2021, with the participation of the subdivisions of the National Army, Interior Ministry and Intelligence and Security Service of Moldova.

“The creation of parade formations and the leadership of the military parade are entrusted with the Defence Ministry. The government will ensure the preparation and carrying out of the military parade,’’ the decree also reads.

The current decree enters into force on the date of its publication.
