Almost half of Border Police employees immunized in Moldova

Chisinau, 30 July /MOLDPRES/ - The medical centre of the Border Police has recorded a 45.6-per cent vaccination rate, which means an overall number of 1,552 doses administered. Both the border policemen and their family members benefited from vaccination.
According to the Border Police, ‘’the ones who gave example of responsibility and seriousness to the danger posed by the new virus were the institution’s medical employees.’’ ‘’Everybody administered the anti-Covid vaccine, including the second dose. They are followed by the pupils and teachers of the Centre of Excellence in Border Security, with a coefficient of 85 per cent of the entire staff of the education institution,’’ the Border Police said.
As many as 1,228 border policemen and another 324 people of their first-degree relatives have been vaccinated so far.
„We return with a call to the Border Police employees: Covid-19 has not disappeared and the new variant of this virus is much more infectious and more aggressive. Be responsible. Vaccination presently remains, along with the observance of the prevention measures, the main measure of combating the spread of the infection,’’ reads the institution’s press release.
