ANTA imposed fines of over 476 thousand lei in last ten days

Chisinau, 2 August /MOLDPRES/- Inspectors of the National Agency for Motor Transport (ANTA) continue the actions to prevent and combat the illicit transport of goods and persons in national and international traffic. In the last ten days, for various violations, the institution has imposed fines of about 476.2 thousand lei / over 22 thousand euros /.

According to ANTA, on 19 -30July during the monitoring and control actions organized in Chisinau and several districts, as well as on the connecting routes with the crossing points of the state border Leuseni, Sculeni, Tudora, Costesti, Criva, Otaci , Cahul and Giurgiulesti, contravention sanctions were applied by drawing up 134 reports on the contravention, for violating the rules of road transport of people, goods and packages.

"For 28 drivers, the measure of suspending the right to use the road vehicle was applied by withholding the plates with the registration number and the registration certificate, for violating the traffic restrictions on public roads during the hot period. Also, three road transport operators were fined 639 u.c., which is 31,450 lei, for ignoring the provisions established by the Road Transport Code ", ANTA said.

From the beginning of 2021 until now, for the illicit transport for a fee of persons, goods and parcels and / or the provision of services for a fee in the absence of registration in the Register of Road Transport Operators and / or the provision of services for a fee with admission of violations 2950 minutes on the contravention were drawn up by the Agency's inspectors. “As a result, for 656 drivers, the measure of suspension of the right to use the road vehicle was applied by withholding the plates with the registration number and the registration certificate, in accordance with the provisions of the Contravention Code and applied fines amounting to 198653 u.c. (9,932,650 lei) ”, the quoted source shows.

At the same time, for the violation of the norms for performing road transports with weights and / or gauges exceeding the allowed limits, 462 minutes regarding the axle load control were drawn up, being calculated tolls in the amount of 28,476 euros.

In this regard, the Agency warns all drivers involved in transport operations, as well as road transport operators to ensure the presence on board vehicles of all documents necessary for the activity they carry out, to comply with the provisions of the Road Transport Code, in order to avoid legal constraints, as well as to provide consumers with quality, safety and comfort services.
