Enterprises from both banks of Dniester to benefit from external financing

Chisinau, 3 August /MOLDPRES/- Sweden and the United Kingdom provide grants of 40,000 dollars to business support organizations on both banks of the Dniester. The deadline for submitting applications is 16 August.
Financial assistance is provided through a competition under the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) project Development of export capacities on the banks of the Dniester (AdTrade). According to UNDP Moldova, the grant program will financially support at least five projects developed and presented by a consortium of business support organizations on both banks of the Dniester River.
The selected projects will get financial support for a period of up to 18 months, to identify needs and provide support for the private sector, strengthen public-private dialogue, formulate feasible policy solutions to improve the business climate on both banks of the Dinester river.
The competition pays close attention to strengthening women's business associations in the Transnistrian region, including those with disabilities.
Over the next two years, UNDP, with the financial assistance of Sweden and the United Kingdom, will continue to support enterprises on both banks of the Dniester through the Development of Export Capacities on the Dniester (AdTrade) project, in order to develop their export capacities. and facilitating trade in European markets. The support provided will also contribute to the economic empowerment of women and reduce inequalities by encouraging greater participation of women and socially vulnerable groups.
