77 explosive devices neutralized by sappers in July

Chisinau, 3 August /MOLDPRES/- In July, the National Army sappers liquidated 77 explosive objects of various types throughout the country.

According to the senior officer of the Engineering Service, Ivan Cornegruţa, 25 ammunitions were found and neutralized in Şerpeni locality, Anenii Noi district. The 20 hand grenades, a grenade launcher, two artillery shells and two hand grenade warheads from the World War II and were destroyed in maximum security.

The statistics of the Ministry of Defense show that this year, the sappers of the National Army found and destroyed 219 explosive objects in localities from Cimişlia, Causeni, Anenii Noi, Hincesti, Cahul, Taraclia, Stefan Voda, Ungheni and Ialoveni districts.
