As many as 241 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova

Chisinau, 6 August /MOLDPRES/- A number of 6,591 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 241 new cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed, of which 5 import ones. As many as 260,424 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to data by the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS), four cases are among medical employees.

As many as 402 patients confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized in all, of whom 70 are in extremely serious condition (14 patients are connected to assisted breathing apparatus).

In the context, 831 persons are treated at home with light and moderate forms of coronavirus and 20,256 are under supervision at home.

Another 145 people have been treated. As many as 252,693 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MSMPS informs about the registration of five other deaths caused by the new coronavirus, the death toll reached 6,275.
