Moldovan-Romanian cooperation in education sector to be boosted

Chisinau, 15 October /MOLDPRES/ - The boosting of the Moldovan-Romanian cooperation relations in the sectors within the competence of the Education and Research Ministry (MEC) today was discussed by Minister Anatolie Topala at a meeting with Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Romania to Moldova Daniel Ionita.
The officials tackled new perspectives of cooperation in the fields within the competence of MEC, proceeding from the projects implemented so far. In the context, Topala emphasized the principal projects/programmes carried out with Romania’s support, especially the ones in the education sector – renovating of kindergartens, donation of school buses, backing the academic mobility, project on summer camps for children, projects on methodic and methodological assistance on behalf of Romania.
The sides showed willingness to re-update and sign treaties in fields within the competence, among which: agreement between the two countries’ governments on the mutual recognition of diplomas, certificates and scientific titles; Memorandum of Understanding between Moldova’s Education and Research Ministry and the Ministry of Research, Innovation and Digitalization of Romania in the sectors of research, development and innovation and the cooperation protocol between the Moldovan Education and Research Ministry and the Romanian Education Ministry for 2021-2025.
