Process of verifying roads' quiality to be digitalized in Moldova

Chisinau, 18 October /MOLDPRES/ - The leadership of the State Administration of Roads (ASD) has carried out a training session with technical decision-makers employed at ASD as to the way of verifying the quality of the construction works, the ones of repair and periodical maintenance, carried out on the national roads, etc. The participants in the meeting tackled subjects on the location where they carry out their work, increase in the financial means allocated for going to the territory and digitalization of the services provided by technical decision-makers.   

According to ASD, the participants in the meeting also considered requirements for the acceptance of the works verified. ‘’The Road Recorder application was presented, with the help of which the technical decision-makers will video record all road segments on which works of repair or current and periodical maintenance were carried out, in order to verify the fulfillment and quality of the works at the stage of reception. The technical decision-makers were repeatedly informed not to allow conflicts of interests at the carrying out of the office duties and remove corruption risks,’’ the institution said.  

“Time is ripe for us to start the ASD’s engines with new forces and competent specialists. The technical decision-makers must be permanently on construction sites, in order to thoroughly monitor the carrying out of the works from public money,’’ the ASD acting director general, Sergiu Bejan, said.    

The participants in the session also discussed the verification of the stage of preparing the roads and road enterprises for the work in the 2021-2022 winter season. The technical decision-makers were trained to control the endowment with technical salt, sand and equipment for carrying out the works of clearing the snow and distribution of the anti-skid material on the public roads.
