Chisinau, 26 October /MOLDPRES/ - The Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) of Moldova, in partnership with the Structural Reforms in Moldova Programme of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), today launched the digital service, E-Note of recording the justifying impediment of non-fulfillment of the obligation (force majeure). The service is known also with the name, Force Majeure Certificate, which is regulated internationally by the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC).
The service is accessible on the webpage of Moldova’s CCI and will subsequently be part of the new platform of digital services of the Chamber - www.client.chamber.md.
„In the last two years, Moldova’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry has actively implemented the strategy for the digital transformation of its services and, with the support of the USAID Structural Reforms in Moldova Project, we launch a new service. The new module will allow entrepreneurs submitting applications for the release of the Note online and its reception in electronic format, signed with CCI’s electronic signature,’’ the CCI deputy head, Natalia Calenic, said.
According to Calenic, the online service provides more advantages; yet, first of all, they optimize the costs. Thus, taking into account that the note is issued in Chisinau, entrepreneurs from various regions will be able to submit the application at any moment, without needing to move to the Chamber’s office. Also, to stimulate entrepreneurs to submit applications online, CCI is set to introduce, as of 2022, preferential tariffs for those who will use the platform www.client.chamber.md.
Director of the USAID Structural Reforms in Moldova Project, Douglas Muir, said that, through the launch of this service, Moldova was among the first countries of the region to issue the Note on Recording the Online Justifying Impediment. ‘’With the USAID’s support, the businesses in Moldova will be able to get and present these certificates electronically. The digital solution will be quite convenient for the business in Moldova and will save money,’’ Douglas Muir noted.
In 2020-2021, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry has received over 150 requests for Notes on Recording the Online Justifying Impediment, of which a substantial percentage was submitted by the economic agents hit by the impact of the pandemic and the natural calamities in the agricultural sector. Till the end of this year, CCI, in partnership with the USAID Structural Reforms in Moldova Project, will launch also the module E-Certificate of origin.
