Chisinau, 11 Feb. / MOLDPRES /- The promulgation decree and the Law for the ratification of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Moldova and the Government of Romania on the mutual recognition of diplomas, certificates and scientific titles were published in today's issue of the Official Journal.

The document sets out the types of study documents, from all levels of education, which are mutually recognized - from study documents in general education to scientific degrees.

The agreement also includes regulations for the mutual recognition of study documents obtained until the accession of the Republic of Moldova to the Bologna Process. Thus, the new Agreement determines the recognition and equivalence of study documents, issued after graduation of a general education institution with a duration of studies of 10 or 11 years, as it was before the introduction of 12-year high school education. The new provisions offer the holders of these study documents direct access to higher education in Romania.

The agreement also lays down special provisions governing the mutual recognition of diplomas and certificates obtained on completion of postgraduate studies, postgraduate specialization studies and postgraduate training courses issued in both States.
